The purpose of this site is to bring the teachings of modern  (last half of the 20th century) Orthodox Elders to the laity in a practical way that can be applied and practiced in everyday life.  Most of these men lived during ‘our’ lifetime so they are not ‘out-of-touch’ historical figures who don’t  understand our ‘modern’ world.

On separate pages brief biographies of the Elders,  the books and permissions used as well as photos credits are listed.

The goal is to have a quote from two Elders (or an Elder and the Bible) on a single topic each day but time constraints will sometimes make this impossible.  The aim is quality verses quantity.
